When God is springing forth new things in our lives we must let go of the negative past, along with it’s regrets. Reflection is fine, and can be beneficial in its place. Although, we are not defined by our past. Living in the mere, synchronized moment with God is tangible. As we spend time in our unending, love relationship with Him, we hear His heart, and what He is saying about our present. Our close relationship necessitates this fine- tuning. Since God is about the new, we should be ready to move in sync with Him. When we do, we must put reservations and guilt aside, as we let go of the past. The apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 3:13, “this one thing” I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. The Greek meaning of forgetting is turning from one thing to focus on something else. It means to deliberately put it out of your mind and quit thinking about it! Behind in this verse means to abandon it, and never revisit it again! On the other hand, reaching forth, in the same verse, means to strain forward with all your might, as if to stretch across the finish line! GOD IS ABOUT THE NEW; AND THE BEAUTIFUL THINGS HE HAS FOR YOU! Unreservedly, go with Him and live your life in each new, present moment with Him!
