The Balm of Gilead, mentioned in the Bible, is a rare, fragrant, medicinal resin produced from trees in Gilead. The prophet Jeremiah referred to this, as he was giving the Lord’s messages to the warring nations. The Bible is full of beautiful allegories. Our genuine and forever healing comes from Jesus, who died on a tree; Acts 5:30. His rare, perfect, precious blood heals us. By His wounds, all who believe and receive Him as Savior, are healed from their sin-sickness, as their sins are taken away; I Peter 2:24. Jesus is the remedy, our healing balm. May His message continue to resonate as we remember His rich blood, spilling over from His gaping wounds, supplying forgiveness to whosoever will come to Him for salvation.
