We don’t have to be afraid of returning to our old sinful way of life once we accept Jesus as Savior. The Greek word for dead in Romans 6:11 means corpse. We absolutely become dead to sin, and wonderfully alive in Christ! Whenever we are tempted to sin, we can say the name of Jesus, remembering His blood, and simply turn away from it, while turning our attention to God. I Corinthians 10:13 says God “will” make a way of escape. Instead of carrying dead weight from the effects of sin, we can REALLY live contently carrying Christ, because He’s in Us!
