When we are faithful to share what God has given us, such as time, talents, tender, etc, we are blessed and entrusted with more.   I am reminded of the boy who gave his small, seemingly insignificant lunch, consisting of only five barley loaves and two small fish, which ended up feeding thousands; John 6:1-14.   Or, of the widow who gave her last meal cake to the prophet of God, before she and her son would die of starvation.  Amazingly, her bin of flour and cruse of oil lasted throughout the famine for many days, providing many cakes to sustain them; I Kings 17:8-16. Interestingly, her son died after this and was raised to life by the power of God, as this same prophet besought the Lord on his behalf.  In Acts 9:36-42 we learn of a disciple named Dorcas.  She was full of good works and charitable deeds, even making clothing for the widows.  Upon her death, the weeping widows implored the Apostle Peter to come, even showing him the clothes she had made. Again, the power of God resurrected her, as Peter prayed.  In Luke 21:1-4 Jesus witnessed a poor widow putting a very small gift into the temple treasury.  He commended this because she gave from her heart, instead of riches. There is a beautiful verse which reads…”Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts,” if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.” (You won’t be able to wrap your arms around it!) Malachi 3:10.  God is such a gracious giver who wants to freely bless you!  You cannot outgive Him!  What a “privilege” to love, serve and give unto Him, even if it may seem so small.  And, do it with joy…for God loves a cheerful giver! As you sow bountifully, you will reap bountifully! II Corinthians 9:6-7.  Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you; Matthew 6:33.  As we take care of God’s business, He takes care of our business.  He’s such a good businessman and multiplier!
