In Daniel Chapter 3 the herald cried aloud commanding all people, nations and languages to bow to a golden statue King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.   The king became furious when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego refused to bow!   He ordered them to be thrown, fully clothed, into the middle of a blazing fiery furnace, which was heated seven times hotter.  To the king’s amazement, he saw not only three men walking in the middle of the fire, but four!  The fourth being like the Son of God!  The king told these three servants of the Most High God to come out.   Verse 27 says the fire had “no power” over them, as not a hair of their head was singed, their garments were not affected, and they didn’t even smell like fire!  Then the king said, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego, who sent His angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him”!  As the fire had no power over them, Satan has no power over God’s children(all who accept Jesus as Savior).  We don’t have to succumb to his whims. Jesus said He came to set captives free; Luke 4:18…freedom from our sins and deliverance from bondages.   Psalm 107:16 says the Lord breaks down our prison gates of bronze and cuts apart our bars of iron.  Come to Jesus, bound as you may seem.  Seek the Lord for you deliverance.  He will show you the way to freedom, and instead of you being consumed, your life will burn brightly for Jesus!  He’s the chain breaker and the way maker!
